Oneonta Foundation For Educational Resources (O.F.F.E.R.) is a non-profit foundation. Its goal is to enhance the instructional program for educators at Oneonta City Schools by providing grants and monies for educational technology and programs. Its main fundraiser is the Holiday Tour. In addition to this tour, funds are raised through individual and business donations. The four locations for the tour, which may be visited in any order, are the Mooney home in Heritage, the Clowdus Creekside Cabin off Hwy. 75, the Standridge Farm on County Hwy. 42 and Calvary Episcopal Church on Park Avenue, where refreshments will be served. Tickets have a map to these sites. By partnering with the Oneonta City School Board, the foundation was able to help fund the purchase of Smart Boards for many classrooms. Grants from OFFER totaled $15,000 toward that project. With this fourth holiday tour, OFFER hopes to eventually help fund this interactive technology for all classrooms at Oneonta City Schools, as well as to provide grant money for enhanced instructional materials. The purchase of a tax deductible $20 ticket from a board member or at each location the day of the tour is money well spent! Supporting education supports our future. Funds are administered by OFFER whose president is Bettye Baker Bradford. Other officers are Sharron Parker, vice-president, Donna Wilson, treasurer, and Jeanne Nelson, secretary. Serving on the board of directors are Frances Barnett, Syble Brindley, Martha Burdette, Tina Corr, Scott Coefield, Dixie Daily, Scott Fendley, Jim Henderson, Tim McNair, Stanley Moss, Anne Payton, Bonnie Peavy, Marla Smith, Marlene Stroud, Tricia Watson, Mildred Williams and Liz Wilson Please help make this fourth holiday tour the most successful tour yet!!
